+101 - Vote for the best Blackberry Applications

Thanks to the recent surge in demand for smartphones and the increasing popularity of the Blackberry, Research in Motion has, for the first time, broken into the top five phone mobile phone companies worldwide in sales.

RIM have just announced the new Blackberry operating system will be available and updated in the next quarter of the year. Blackberry 6 is designed to work with existing and future hardware with emphasis on improving speed and graphics.

It turns out that there are plenty of celebrities who want to show off their phones and in particular the Blackberrys they love! According to a recent news story Demi Moore can’t live without hers:

“I would have to say, of all the products and gadgets, that one would be a hard one to put down.”

Of course, Demi and her husband Ashton Kutcher are well known on Twitter for regular posts and being two of the first celebs to fully embrace the micro-blogging service. So, I thought I’d see who else loves their Blackberry – turns out there’s quite a few.

The Blackberry market is running at approximately 1million downloads every day and with so many apps to choose from it’s hard to know which are the best to use and what you can download and use for free.

RIM have announced their latst phone – and it’s the smallest Blackberry ever with just a standard 14 key numeric keypad. By switching from a QWERTY keypad to a standard numeric keypad shows that RIM are hoping to get an even stronger foothold in the consumer smartphone market.
